Tim Hurn’s hand built, wood-firing kiln is inspired by traditional processes learned in both Japan and Somerset. In the second instalment of our visit to the Dorset potter, he talks us through the loading and firing of the kiln, which takes over a week to complete, and happens only two or three times a year.
