Daylesford Summer Festival
Many thanks to Daylesford Organic Farm for inviting us along to their Summer Festival for an early celebration of all things wholesome. From beautiful, locally sourced produce to courses on everything from bee-keeping to coffee roasting, it was like the ultimate village fair, right down to the working horses slowly ploughing the field opposite the H&C stand.
In fact slow was the over-riding theme of the day: a rare chance to revel in the fine art of taking one’s time, whether it was picking up ‘Pocket Bakery’ tips from Rose Prince (a bit of a hero round H&C towers) or kicking back and enjoying the Scruffiest Dog contest.
Most of all, raised glasses of something craft-brewed must go to the supremely talented (and unnervingly happy) Jacob Bodilly, our resident potter for the day, for spreading his Summer Festival vibes.
Thanks to all those who made it – and for those who couldn’t, that was just a taster of our summer ahead. Catch us at Port Eliot Festival later this summer. Watch this space for more details.
