Amateurism explores the depths of their record boxes to create a bespoke playlist for Hole & Corner at Port Eliot Festival
This is a playlist created specially for my good friends and family at Hole & Corner. Like most fans of music, my tastes and interests stretch much further than the music I often use to try and make people dance - and given that Hole & Corner aims to shine a light on the more niche and obscure, I decided to share some music that I normally only listen to on my own.
My aim with the selection is to soothe and calm the listener, allowing for more space between the sounds with ambient electronica, soundscapes, folk songs and alternative electronic rhythms. As usual, I have added some better known songs amongst the deeper cuts, using some of my favourite artists such as The Shins, Courtney Barnett and Father John Misty to break up the spaciness…
