Hole & Corner at the Burberry Makers House
Curating a series of exclusive maker workshops inspired by legendary British artist Henry Moore
We are proud to announce that Hole & Corner is partnering with Burberry for the return of the Makers House, from 21-27 February. Titled Henry Moore: Inspiration & Process, the Makers House is a celebration of the new Burberry collection and the iconic artist who inspired it. Alongside an exhibition of some of Henry Moore’s most famous sculptures, working models and maquettes, a programme of events will take place throughout the week – including a series of makers’ workshops curated by Hole & Corner.
Taking our cue from the definition of a ‘hole-and-corner’ – a secret place where creativity and inspiration can flow – we will seek to evoke the spirit of Moore’s own studios at Perry Green, home of the Henry Moore Foundation. Joining us over the week will be artists Max Bainbridge and Abigail Booth, aka Forest + Found, who will be teaching an experimental maquette and object-making class, working with natural materials inspired by Henry Moore; Alexander Devol of Wooden + Woven, who will be running a wood-block printing workshop; and artist Olivia Bullock, who will run a wax-resist watercolour workshop, inspired by a technique invented by Henry Moore.
